Nuthatch Cottage is ideally located for visiting the seaside towns of Bournemouth and Poole. Bournemouth has award winning beaches and Poole not only has great beaches (Sandbanks) but boasts a beautiful harbour and Brownsea Island. Both Bournemouth and Poole have excellent shopping facilities.

The cathedral town of Salisbury and nearby Stonehenge is some 30 minutes drive away, as is the cathedral town of Winchester.

The port of Southampton is within twenty minutes drive and here you can not only enjoy a good range of shops, art galleries and museums, but spend many a happy hour watching the huge cruise liners as they berth in Southampton Docks. From Southampton you can take the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Portsmouth with its Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Quays shopping is also within easy reach.

If you want to stay closer to home then just short trips away are the New Forest towns of Ringwood, Fordingbridge and Lyndhurst. Lymington with its Georgian High Street, boutique shops ,quay and ferry (about twenty minutes) to the Isle of Wight is within a short drive.
