List of Activities:
Horse Riding
Imagine coming out of your New Forest holiday cottage and having your horse’s stable and turn out paddock just next door. You can ride directly out on to the forest from the cottage and after some two miles you may come across very small forest roads that zig zag across the commons and heath land. Usually the only traffic on these roads is the occasional car and horse drawn carriage.
Turn Out
A private turn-out paddock (approximately 50 yards from the cottage) with mains water supply and direct forest access is available for guests’ use.
Riding
The New Forest is considered to be one of the finest places in England to ride with its gravel tracks within the inclosures and grass and heather heath lands providing 144 square miles of unrestricted riding all year round. You and your horse can enjoy lots of slow steady canters or even the occasional gallop across miles of grassy tracks . There’s plenty of logs and ditches to jump too!
Other Stuff
Nuthatch provides ample lockable undercover space for tack, feed and hay. There is also ample parking space for trailers and horses boxes. Bedding and feed can be supplied by ordering in advance.
Nuthatch Cottage is suitable for leisure, endurance and hunt riders wishing to enjoy the freedom of the New Forest. An escort rider can be arranged for those unfamiliar with the forest.
Cost is £25 per week per horse
