Fungi Foraying

Tuesday, October 27, 2009 @ 02:10 PM

Although the mushroom season traditionally starts in April, mushrooms can be found all year round in the New Forest. Spot species such as Fly Agaric, Chanterelle, Horn of Plenty, Hedgehogs and Oysters.  Although fungi foraying in the New Forest is free of charge we would ask guests to respect the forest and leave the fungi they have found for others enjoyment.

The Forestry Commission organises mushroom hunts in the New Forest.
