Bird Watching

Tuesday, October 27, 2009 @ 02:10 PM

Sit quietly outside Nuthatch Cottage in the New Forest and you may be lucky enough to see Green Woodpeckers, Buzzards, Swallows and Nightjars. Early morning at certain times of the year you can hear the drumming sound made by the Great Spotted Woodpeckers and at night the sound of the Tawny Owls’ twit-wooing fills the air. Little Egrets can also be found in the forest too.
